Heteropoly Compounds, Dispersed and Rare Elements Chemistry and Analysis Group

Studies reactions of heteropoly compounds, complex compounds, and their possible applications in analytical chemistry.

Heteropoly Compounds, Dispersed and Rare Elements Chemistry and Analysis Group

Overview

The group of chemistry and analysis of heteropoly compounds of dispersed and rare elements studies the reactions of these compounds in dilute aqueous solutions with a number of basic dyes, the properties of the complex compounds formed as a result, and the possibilities for identifying their fields of application.

Because of their high light-absorption properties, it became possible to increase the sensitivity of determining several elements (Ga, Ge, Si, Ta, Nb, P, As, Al, Cr) by about one order of magnitude. Taking into account their nanoparticle structure and safety, the work also made it possible to obtain cosmetic pigments.

The development of synthesis conditions for β-nuclei of the primary structure of heteropoly compounds made it possible to synthesize β-nuclei of primary structures for a number of elements (Al, Ga, Cr, Fe) and to determine the concentration conditions that ensure the existence of their monomeric forms.

Work has also been carried out to reveal the biological activity of these β-nuclei and to assess the suitability and prospects of their use in medicine.
